EQUILIBRATION WORKSHOP
It is often said that the equilibration of the human dentition
is a misunderstood and under utilized procedure. Why are most
practitioners reluctant to perform an equilibration? There
are a number of reasons, but the primary reason is that there
is no consensus as to how the design of teeth and the way they
touch each other can improve the efficiency and physiology
of the stomatognathic system and reduce problems of the temporomandibular
joint (TMJ).
This interactive two-day workshop begins with a detailed analysis
of the subject of occlusion, explaining the many reasons for
the confusion. This presentation, based on bio-engineering,
will explain the exact relationship between occlusion and problems
of the TMJ and how dental prostheses should be designed to
ensure maximum comfort, health, and efficiency. The workshop
is limited to five participants. Each will have his or her
teeth equilibrated, if deemed necessary, and a mouth guard
delivered. This workshop is unique in that it is open to private
patients with occlusal and TMJ problems where they will be
evaluated, critiqued, and treated.
Tuition: $1200.00
Workshops are given the first weekend of each month.
